Strengthening Teamwork and Driving Results Through Training and Team Building

On October 31, 2026, Lumispot held its 2026 Management Training and Team-Building Event at Ehu Rose Cultural Park in Jiangsu Province. Management personnel at supervisor level and above from Lumispot’s bases in Beijing, Taizhou, and Wuxi gathered for a day of professional learning, hands-on training, and outdoor team-building activities.

Building Consensus and Driving Towards Our Goals

The event opened with a motivational address by Mr. Cai Zhen, General Manager of Lumispot. He outlined key priorities for the final stage of the year, encouraging all managers to embrace their responsibilities, remain focused on targets, and approach the year-end push with determination and a strong commitment to execution.Following the address, Mr. Cai led an in-depth discussion on the topic of “How to Become a Pillar of the Organization.” Drawing on Lumispot’s management practices, he shared insights into personal development, team management, management tools, and cross-functional communication and collaboration. The session highlighted the critical role managers play in connecting strategic direction with effective execution, serving as a vital link between senior leadership and frontline teams.

Quality First, Continuous Capability Enhancement

Ms. Ye Qian, Quality Director, delivered a specialized training session on Design of Experiments (DOE). Adopting an immersive “Theory + Hands-on Practice + Data Analysis” approach, the training helped managers develop a practical understanding of scientific experimental design and process optimization.

Participants were divided into four groups and took part in a hands-on exercise focused on designing and testing dragonfly-shaped paper gliders. Each team first identified the variables that could affect flight performance and used Minitab software to develop experimental plans. They then built and test-flew their gliders, recording two key performance indicators: flight duration and flight behavior.

Using the collected data, participants conducted further analysis in Minitab to identify the key influencing factors and determine the optimal experimental settings.

By transforming abstract DOE concepts into a practical, observable, and verifiable exercise, the training enabled participants to experience the entire process, from factor screening and experimental design to data analysis and result optimization. Through teamwork and comparisons between groups, managers strengthened their ability to apply data-driven thinking to assess and solve real-world business challenges.

Putting Learning into Action, Building a Stronger Team

Following the training sessions, the outdoor team-building activities brought the event to an exciting new level. All participants were randomly assigned to four teams. After a series of ice-breaking activities, they took on three challenges: Minefield Water Retrieval, The Power of Breath, and Ultimate Frisbee Challenge.

Minefield Water Retrieval

This challenge tested participants’ resource integration skills and innovative thinking. Working together within a set of rules and constraints, team members explored different solutions, demonstrating the importance of collective wisdom and creative problem-solving.

The Power of Breath

Focusing on information transmission, task allocation, and execution, this activity demonstrated how information received by one individual must be accurately understood and efficiently acted upon by the entire team. It also reflected common communication and collaboration challenges encountered in daily operations.

Ultimate Frisbee Challenge

Combining fun and competition, this activity featured a series of engaging games, including Frisbee Tic-Tac-Toe, Frisbee Bowling, and Frisbee Basketball. The field was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and laughter as participants competed and cheered each other on.

After a series of exciting competitions, the team achieving the highest overall score was awarded prizes in recognition of its outstanding performance.

This event combined professional training with practical team-building activities to strengthen management capabilities and foster a deeper understanding of teamwork and collaboration. Through structured learning, participants enhanced their management knowledge and skills; through hands-on challenges, they strengthened mutual trust, improved communication, and broke down barriers between departments.

As the final push towards the year’s targets begins, the momentum and insights gained from this event will translate into concrete actions and stronger execution.
